Daybreak has a number of different alternatives for sample irradiation.  The best choice will depend both on the reader system and the experimental protocol.  For example, the very long exposure times in geological dating may make the 801E irradiator best, as the reader will not be tied up doing irradiations.  However, some of the single aliquot protocols now in use are far easier and simpler with an irradiator mounted on the reader.  We would be happy to discuss your application and suggest the best irradiator for it.

• 770 beta irradiator with transfer arm for 1100 reader    The irradiator mounts on the reader, but is moved away under computer control when not needed, to reduce increased dark counts.   (PDF version)

• 2200 beta irradiator   A standard component of the 2200 OSL system, mounting on the top lid.  (PDF version)
